Company exceeds €100 million in profit

bonÀrea Corporació closed the 2025 financial year with record revenues of 2,826 million euros, representing a 5.4% increase. For the first time in its history, the Guissona-based agrifood group has surpassed the 100 million euro net profit threshold, confirming the strength of its vertical integration model.

Sustained growth in food and energy

Barcelona, 14/04/26
The 2025 fiscal year established the human food area as the primary growth driver for bonÀrea Corporació.

This division achieved sales of 1,634 million euros, a 6.7% increase compared to the previous year, moving a total volume of 477 million kilograms of product. Notably, the Food Service channel, targeting hospitality and catering professionals, recorded a 16% growth. Simultaneously, the engineering and energy line, which manages a network of 66 gas stations, contributed 652 million euros to the group’s global turnover, with distributed fuel volume growing by 10.3% to reach 575 million liters.

Strategic investment and circular economy

The company executed an investment of 113.45 million euros last year, primarily aimed at enhancing its industrial and logistical capacity.

Resources were concentrated on the construction of the new food center in Épila (Aragon) and the optimization of the main La Closa complex in Guissona. Regarding sustainability, the group confirmed that during the second half of 2026, it will roll out the RetornA project across Catalonia. This circular packaging reuse system allows customers to return meat trays to stores for cleaning and reuse, an initiative that has already prevented the waste of 72,000 single-use containers during its pilot phase.

Commercial expansion and local employment

bonÀrea’s direct sales network reached 612 operational points of sale by year-end, following 37 new store openings.

Sales across the commercial network reached 1,301 million euros, with private label products accounting for 81% of total in-store turnover. In terms of social impact, the group created 193 new jobs, bringing the total workforce to 6,611 employees. Looking ahead to 2026, the expansion plan includes 20 new openings and 19 relocations or expansions, consolidating its presence in Catalonia, Aragon, Madrid, and the rest of Spain, as well as Andorra.
